Departure by shuttle to some of Cortona’s most important landmarks, your guide will show and speak about Santa Maria Nuova Church built by Giorgio Vasari in 1554, Santa Maria delle Grazie built in 1484-1515 by Francesco di Giorgio Martini and Fortezza del Girifalco built in 1556 by architects Francesco Laparelli and Gabrio Serbelloni. €12 includes aperitif.

Departure by shuttle to "Le Celle", the monastery and the cell where St. Francis lived in the 13th century. Return to Cortona and visit to St. Francis Church and friar Elia Coppi; walk to the library and visit the Cortona Laudario. €12 includes aperitif.

Etruscan tour, lecture with Etruscan lunch

In 2009 a tour of the archaeological park by the two professors who have been leading the excavation since 1990 sold out. The Italian-Canadian partnership of Professor Helen Fracchia and Professor Maurizio Gualitieri will take a small group on tour of the site as well as give a talk on their discoveries and insights into Etruscan and Roman life in the vicinity of Cortona. The tour and lecture will be followed up with an authentic Etruscan lunch, which has been carefully put together exclusively for the Tuscan Sun Festival.

Antipasto - Tagete’s delicatessen: Green olives , black olives flavoured with garlic and wild fennel, omelette with nettle, eggs and cheese, a selection of cheese with honey, flat bread
First course - Puls chiusina: spelt, pork, broad beans, oat bread
Second course - The offert for Tinia : Chianina beef with Mediterranean aromas and wild herbs
Dessert - Arrunte’s gift: Spelt scones, hazelnuts, figs, grapes and ‘Mulsum’ (wine and honey)
