Regarded as the supreme interpreter of the classical flute repertoire, the living legend of the flute Sir James Galway is joined by one of the world's most dynamic artists, Maxim Vengerov for a magnificent performance to open the festival. Having followed in the conducting footsteps of his mentor, the late Mstislav Rostropovich, Maestro Vengerov will conduct a programme of Mozart, including the Flute Concerto No.2.
