Vlad-Constantin Miriţă is a young Romanian tenor, born in 1981 in Trgovişte, Romania. His passion for music guided his steps from his early years and, in 2000, he graduated the singing classes of the Arts School "Octav Enigarescu" in his native town.
In 2002 he won the First Prize at Mamaia pop festival (the most popular national music festival in Romania), performing a modern song played in a classical way making of him the first Romanian classical-crossover singer.
Mirită has also garnered the following awards:
the FIDOF Award, International Pop Festival Slaviansky Bazaar Vitebsk (Belarus, 2004); second place in the International Festival Songs of the World, in Moldova (2005); first price in the International pop contest George Grigoriu, in Romania (2006); the Musiktheater Wien Prize in the International Tenor Voices Festival Traian Grozavescu in Lugoj, Romania; the CEE Musiktheater Scholarship in 2007 Vlad.
Since 2006, he has been soloist of The National Opera House in Bucharest and among his projects and concerts there are the editions of Proms of Delight concerts as permanent special guest, (for Easter, Christmas and New Years Eve Concerts). He performed the role "Don Jose" in a special production of "The Tragedy of Carmen", a remake of Peter Brook and Marius Constant after Carmen by Bizet, which took place in Sibiu, the European Capital of Culture, in 2007.
